Renewing Our Civic
Imagination PA and NY Campus
Compact Retreat May 28-30, 2008 REGISTRATION DEADLINE EXTENDED UNTIL MAY 5, 2008 Sessions 1-4: Nadinne Cruz will
lead and facilitate these sessions that will focus on who we are as professionals; who students are; how we fit in our
institution; and how we
interface with community. Nadinne is an
internationally respected speaker, author, and consultant on public service
education. As former director of the Discussion Groups: Sessions 1-4 will be followed by small group
discussion that will give us a chance to further explore and share our thoughts
and learnings. Roundtable Sessions: Small informal sessions with interactive presentations from practitioners around skill and content development topics such as institutionalizing service-learning, working with faculty, assessment, resource development, risk management, community-based research, student leadership/citizenship development, and Learn and Serve subgrantee reports. See below for a complete list of Roundtables. Affinity Groups: Meet colleagues from similar types of
institutions or with similar experience or exploring how to share resources. Accommodations: Surrounded by 200
private acres of storybook woods, meadows, luxurious lawns and unlimited
recreational facilities, Bryn Mawr is a unique alternative to crowded hotel
settings. All accommodations
have hot/cold running water, indoor plumbing and electricity. There is a
payphone for your convenience in the Dining Hall. The rooms do not have alarm
clocks, telephone/internet access, or TVs. Linens are provided by the
conference center. Further information on accommodations can be found on the
